The Hurricane Andrew Structure

Shade Structure after Hurricane Andrew Hit.

This structure is a little over one acre in size. It was designed for the poles to flex and rotate under extreme, adverse, weather conditions. It was also designed for the shade fabric to release at winds of 95 to 100 miles per hour. As you can see, it lived up to its expectations. As a result, Dade County, Florida, modified their building code to conform to aspects of this design. Within a few months, I designed a second structure for the same customer to withstand 130 MPH winds before shade separation would occur. Once again, Mother Nature unleashed her fury with the storm of the century. 100 MPH winds caused shade separation on the Andrew House.

Not a single s-hook released on the new building just a few blocks away. Over the next decade, I have transfused these technical innovations into all of our structures up to 20 acres in size.

This is why our clients are secure with their decision to retain Shade2000INC. for all of their shade structural needs.
